Msalala District Council is one of the six councils in Shinyanga Region that was officially established on July 1, 2013, after being announced in Government Notice (GN) No. 363. The headquarters of the District Council are located in the village of Buganzo in Ntobo ward. The main economic activities are agriculture, mining, and small businesses.
