Job Opportunities at Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force – 2025
The Commissioner General of the Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force, under the authority granted by Section 14(4) of the Fire and Rescue Force Act, Chapter 427, in conjunction with Regulation 5(1) of the Fire and Rescue Service Regulations of 2008, announces job openings for the position of Constable in the Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force.
Qualifications for Applicants:
1. For Applicants with a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form Four)
Requirements:
Must be a Tanzanian citizen by birth.
Must possess a birth certificate.
Must have a National Identification Card (NIDA) or NIDA identification number.
Must be physically and mentally fit.
Must have no criminal record.
Must be single (not married).
Must not have any tattoos.
Must have never used any illegal drugs.
Must be willing to undergo initial training in the Fire and Rescue Force.
Must not have been convicted in any court of law.
Minimum height: 5.7 feet for men and 5.4 feet for women.
Must be willing to work in any municipality if selected.
Age limit: 18 to 25 years

2. For Applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree
Required Fields of Study:
Marine Engineering
Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
English Language Studies
Quantity Surveying
Multimedia Technology
Economics
Law (Must have completed practical legal training)
Education Management
Road & Railway Transport Logistics Management
Chemical Processing Engineering
Additional Requirements:
Must meet all the qualifications listed under Form Four applicants (1a - 1l).
Age limit: 18 to 28 years.
3. For Applicants with Technical Certificates
Additional Requirements:
Must meet all the qualifications listed under Form Four applicants (1a - 1l).
Helicopter Technicians: Age between 18 and 35 years.
Drivers: Must have an E-class driving license and be between 18 and 28 years (Driving skills will be practically tested during the recruitment process).
