We are currently seeking dynamic, results-driven professionals to join our Credit Department as Loan Officers.
Position: Loan Officer (2 Posts)
As a Loan Officer, you will play a key role in the growth of our loan portfolio, client relationship management, and loan recovery efforts. You will be responsible for ensuring that loans are issued and recovered in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain thorough knowledge of Serene’s loan products and eligibility criteria.
Identify and recruit potential clients and conduct loan product orientations.
Assess clients’ creditworthiness through field visits, interviews, and document evaluations.
Prepare and present timely loan reports (daily, weekly, and monthly).
Monitor disbursed loans, track repayments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Resolve client inquiries, disputes, or complaints promptly and professionally.
Update client records and loan data in the system consistently.
Recommend strategies for improving loan recovery and risk mitigation
Comply with legal and policy requirements in the loan recovery process.
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any related field.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the microfinance or financial services sector.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet targets within deadlines.
Familiarity with the microfinance environment is an added advantage.
