ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT -MWANZA
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance department in day-to-day accounting operations. This role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, assists in financial reporting, and supports.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Record and maintain accurate financial transactions
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts
Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Maintain and update fixed asset registers
Organize and file financial documents for easy retrieval and audit readiness
Support internal and external audit processes
Handle petty cash and ensure timely replenishment
Liaising with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers
Provide general administrative support to the office team as needed
Carry out any other accounting-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate for this role should have
A minimum education required is at least a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, and any other related field.
Proven work experience as an Assistant Accountant for not less than 2 years
Proficiency in accounting software
Good understanding of basic accounting principles
Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER -BUKOBA & KEMONDO
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Office Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office. This includes managing administrative operations, coordinating office activities, and providing support to both management and staff to maintain an efficient work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for both financial and administrative records
Coordinate office supplies procurement and ensure inventory is up to date
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and staff travel
Support the onboarding of new staff and maintain updated employee records
Handle routine office communications and follow-ups with service providers
Ensure compliance with office procedures and company policies
Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory documents and licenses
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the office environment
Provide general administrative support to the office team as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate for this role should have
A minimum education required is at least a Diploma in Business Administration, and any other related field.
Proven work experience as an Office Admin for not less than 2 years
Proficiency in Microsoft software package
Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines
