Position Details

Position: Program Intern

Organization: Westerwelle Startup Haus Arusha (WSHA)

Location: Arusha, Tanzania

Reports To: Program Manager

Key Responsibilities

The successful intern will be responsible for:Business in Tanzania

Collecting program monitoring data through calls, surveys, interviews, and field visits.

Tracking participant attendance and engagement.

Conducting baseline, endline, and pre/post assessments.

Organizing, cleaning, and compiling program data.

Supporting the preparation of internal, quarterly, annual, and donor reports.

Creating simple data visualizations and dashboards.

Entering and maintaining accurate program records in WSHA systems.

Performing regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Documenting lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.

Maintaining program documentation and historical records.

Supporting coordination with implementing partners on reporting activities.

Assisting with logistics for monitoring visits and data collection exercises.

Providing general day-to-day support to the program team.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:Employment services

Recent Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong interest in data management, monitoring and evaluation, or program support.

Previous coursework or volunteer experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) or data entry is an added advantage.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.

Knowledge of Airtable or Google Sheets is an added advantage.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Confidence in engaging with program participants.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Good organizational and time management skills.

Willingness to travel for fieldwork when required.
