The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), an Executive Agency under the Ministry of Works and Transport, is charged with the responsibility of developing and maintaining the Trunk and Regional Road Network, as well as managing airport construction on Tanzania Mainland.

To support the Iringa Municipal Bypass project, the Regional Manager TANROADS – Iringa, on behalf of the Chief Executive, is inviting applications from dynamic, qualified, and experienced Tanzanians for the position of CAD Technician on a 12-month contract.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Must be a Tanzanian citizen with a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.

A CAD training certificate is mandatory.

A minimum of three (3) years hands-on experience in road or bridge design using CAD software.

Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to read and translate technical drawings.

Age limit: Must not be above 45 years at the time of application.

 Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with Highway and Bridge Engineers to improve sketches and finalize design layouts.

Create technical drawings, CAD models, and design drafts related to road and bridge works.

Review and revise CAD drawings as per project specifications and team feedback.

Input and update road designs into CAD software, ensuring compliance with TANROADS standards.

Maintain accurate records of all design versions and iterations.

Participate in design review meetings and assist with technical revisions as necessary.

Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or engineering team.
