JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Director of Mpwapwa District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for four (4) job vacancies in this Council, after obtaining permission from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance for the following positions:
1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 04 POSTS
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition.
ii. To transport staff to various locations on official trips.
iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs.
iv. To collect and deliver various documents.
v. To fill out and maintain records of all trips in the log book.
vi. To clean the vehicle.
vii. To perform any other duties as assigned by his/her Supervisor.
1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license, with at least one year of driving experience without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the respective license classes. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA College or another Government-recognized institution.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. The applicant must be a Tanzanian Citizen who is not more than 45 years old and not less than 18 years old.
ii. Applicants must attach a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a reliable address, telephone number, and Email address together with the names of three reliable referees.
iii. Provisional results (Provisional/Testimonials/Statement of results) will not be accepted.
iv. All applicants must attach a certified copy of their Birth Certificate verified by a Magistrate/Lawyer.
v. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
vi. Applicants who are already employed in intern positions within the Public Service should not apply and must adhere to the instructions contained in Circular Letter No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
vii. Applicants for the Driver Grade II position with a Class E or C license must attach training certificates for Driving which qualified them to obtain the respective license classes.
viii. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Professional Certificates by a Magistrate/Lawyer, which are Form Four certificates and certificates of completion of various trainings according to the requirements of the specific job.
ix. Applicants who studied outside the Country must ensure their Certificates have been approved by the relevant Authorities (NECTA and NACTE).
x. Submission of false information and qualifications will lead to legal actions against the concerned individuals.
xi. The application letter must be written in Kiswahili or English.
