JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Executive Director of Uyui District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for eight (08) job vacancies in this council after obtaining permission from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as per the following breakdown:-

1.0. RECORDS ASSISTANT GRADE II – 1 POSITION

1.1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Listing incoming letters in the Registry (Incoming Correspondence Register)

ii. Listing outgoing letters from the Institution (Outgoing Correspondence Register)

iii. Distributing files to action officers (Action Officers)

iv. Receiving files returning to the registry from action officers

v. Returning files to the file racks/filing cabinets (Racks/Filling cabinets) or other storage places.

vi. Tracking the movement of files within and outside the Institution (File tracking)

vii. Analyzing, listing, and arranging records/documents into groups according to subject matter (classification and boxing) for office use.

viii. Filing Records (letters, documents, etc.) in files.

ix. Performing any other duties assigned by his/her work supervisor.

1.1.1. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed, the applicant must have Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) education and have completed a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in the field of Records Management from Government-recognized colleges, with computer skills.

1.1.2. SALARY LEVEL:

2.0. OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 2 POSITIONS

2.1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Typing letters, reports, and routine and confidential documents.

ii. Receiving Guests and listening to their problems, and directing them to the section where they can be assisted.

iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, guests, meeting dates, trips of his/her superior, and other work schedules.

iv. Searching for files and documents required in the performance of work duties.

v. Receiving files and distributing them to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section.

vi. Collecting, storing, and returning files and documents to the relevant sections.

vii. Arranging extracts and making preparations for various meetings.

viii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements.

ix. Performing other duties as directed by his/her Supervisor.

2.1.2. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed, applicants must be Form Four (Form IV) or Form Six (Form VI) graduates, with a Diploma (Diploma) in Secretarial Studies or an (NTA Level 6) certificate in Secretarial Studies. Furthermore, they must have passed a Shorthand subject in Kiswahili and English at 100 words per minute and acquired Office computer programs such as; Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher from any Government-recognized College.

2.1.3 SALARY LEVEL

3.0. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT GRADE II – 5 POSITIONS

3.1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. To assist in designing and planning development plans and projects in his/her area.

ii. To assist in facilitating and providing access to training on development issues in his/her area.

iii. To participate in the implementation of development activities.

iv. To assist in providing education on self-reliance activities in his/her area.

v. To prepare and submit monthly community development work reports to the village leadership and to his/her work Supervisor.

vi. To assist in forming social and development groups.

vii. To identify and enable poor households to improve their economy through surrounding opportunities and resources.

viii. To perform other duties assigned by his/her work supervisor.

3.1.2 SALARY LEVEL:

GENERAL CONDITIONS

i. Applicants must be Tanzanians aged between 18 and 45 years, except for those already employed by the Government.

ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify the type of disability they have in the job application system for information to the Secretariat of Employment in the Public Service.

iii. Applicants must attach a detailed personal description Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a functional address, accessible phone numbers, and an Email address (E-mail address) along with the names of three reliable referees. "Provisional", "Testimonials", "Statement of results" and Form Four and Form Six results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

iv. All applicants must attach a certified copy of their birth certificate verified by an Advocate/Lawyer.

v. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.

vi. Applicants who are already Public Servants and have acquired qualifications to enter this cadre must submit their letters through their current employers, and their employers must approve their qualifications accordingly.

vii. Job applicants who are already employed in intern positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to adhere to the instructions in Letter No.CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.

viii. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Professional Certificates by an Advocate/Lawyer. These include Form Four, Form Six certificates for those who reached that level and various training completion certificates considering the job qualifications, such as.

ix. Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificate, - Form IV and VI Examination Certificates, - Computer Certificate – Professional Certificates (Professional Certificate from Respective Boards)

x. Applicants who studied outside the country must ensure their certificates have been validated by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA or NACTVET).

xi. Submission of false Information and qualifications will lead to legal action against the concerned individuals.

xii. The application letter should be written in Kiswahili or English.

xiii. The deadline for receiving application letters is 11 December, 2025.
