On behalf of the Cereals and Other Produce Board of Tanzania (COPBT), the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) invites high caliber, results oriented, self-driven professionals with integrity and suitable qualifications to fill twenty-seven (27) vacant posts as detailed below:
1.0 ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT II – 3 POSTS
1.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To reconcile fees register;
To receive and keep in proper custody bills, invoices and other claims pending payment;
To maintain an updated cheque register;
To prepare bank reconciliation statements;
To reconcile general ledger balances with subsidiary ledger balances;
To assist in maintaining accurate books of accounts.
1.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Secondary Education Certificate with Certificate in Accounting and Finance or its equivalent.
(One year contract)
1.3 Salary Scale
CPBSS 3
2.0 LABORATORY TECHNICIAN II – 1 POST
2.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To receive, label and analyze samples;
To design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings;
To conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject hypotheses using refined scientific methods;
To organize and store chemicals, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions;
To record all data and results accurately in specified forms;
To maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies;
To ensure all safety guidelines are strictly followed and maintain a clean working environment.
2.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Ordinary Diploma or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.

2.3 Salary Scale

3.0 ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN II – 2 POSTS
3.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To install, maintain, modify and repair electrical equipment and control systems;
To troubleshoot and correct electrical equipment and control systems;
To maintain and calibrate PLC systems for milling machines and boiler burner management;
To install, maintain and repair plant electrical panels, breakers, circuits and lighting;
To test electrical equipment for safety and accuracy and report abnormalities;
To comply with safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment;
To serve on special task forces during emergencies;
To perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment;
To troubleshoot milling plant electrical problems and implement solutions;
To clean electrical components and perform other related duties as assigned.
3.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Ordinary Diploma or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution or equivalent.

3.3 Salary Scale

4.0 MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN II – 2 POSTS
4.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To undertake general maintenance within the manufacturing facility;
To investigate equipment failures and recommend repairs or replacements;
To coordinate maintenance safety procedures and schedules;
To contribute to quality standards and continuous improvement processes;
To facilitate application of manufacturing process principles;
To identify opportunities to improve products or reduce costs;
To prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes;
To perform other duties as assigned.
4.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Ordinary Diploma or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution or equivalent.

4.3 Salary Scale

5.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER II – 7 POSTS
5.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To assist in inspecting cereals and other produce mills, warehouses and premises;
To assist in assessing quality of cereals and produce products based on standards;
To assist in setting quality standards for processed and packed produce;
To assist in monitoring and evaluating produce quality from farms to markets;
To perform any other duties as assigned.
5.2 Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Agriculture, Food Processing or Process Engineering from a recognized institution or equivalent.
(One year contract)
5.3 Salary Scale
As per CPB Salary Scale
6.0 ICT OFFICER II (PROGRAMMER) – 1 POST
6.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To plan and write software algorithms;
To write, test and debug computer programs;
To train users on new systems;
To develop security systems and ensure data protection compliance;
To provide technical support and perform other related duties.
6.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Development, Information Systems, Computer Programming or related fields from a recognized institution.
(One year contract)
6.3 Salary Scale
As per CPB Salary Scale
7.0 MARKETING OFFICER II – 2 POSTS
7.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To collect, compile and disseminate data on marketing of cereals and other produce;
To conduct market research and surveys;
To prepare cereals and other produce marketing and sales plans;
To implement approved sales strategies;
To promote the cereals and other produce industry;
To perform other related duties as directed.
7.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Commerce or Business Administration in Marketing.
(One year contract)
7.3 Salary Scale
CPBSS 5
8.0 PROCUREMENT OFFICER II – 2 POSTS
8.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To follow up on receiving, storing and distribution of stock items;
To issue tendering and contract documents;
To maintain procurement and disposal records;
To maintain inventory and contract registers;
To follow up supply contracts and ensure compliance.
8.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Procurement, Supplies or Material Management, registered by a recognized professional board and possessing CSP.
(One year contract)
8.3 Salary Scale

9.0 PLANNING OFFICER II – 1 POST
9.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To assist in collecting and analyzing planning data;
To prepare profiles and planning statistics;
To assist in formulation of plans.
9.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Economics, Statistics or Planning from a recognized institution.
(One year contract)
9.3 Salary Scale
As per CPB Salary Scale
10.0 ACCOUNTANT II – 3 POSTS
10.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To prepare accounting documentation;
To maintain vouchers, cashbooks and cheque registers;
To assist in preparation of financial reports and payroll;
To conduct bank reconciliation.
10.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration majoring in Accountancy or Finance, with CPA (T), ACCA, ACA or equivalent recognized by NBAA.
(One year contract)
10.3 Salary Scale

11.0 ICT OFFICER II (COMPUTER SYSTEMS ANALYST) – 1 POST
11.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To gather and analyze user and system requirements;
To document functional and technical specifications;
To design, test and maintain software applications;
To analyze incidents and ensure operational stability;
To perform other duties as directed.
11.2 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer-related fields from a recognized institution.
(One year contract)
11.3 Salary Scale
As per CPB Salary Scale
12.0 DRIVER II – 2 POSTS
12.1 Duties and Responsibilities
To drive vehicles in accordance with traffic regulations;
To perform minor vehicle repairs;
To take vehicles for routine maintenance;
To maintain vehicle logbooks;
To ensure safety and cleanliness of the vehicle;
To report accidents or incidents promptly.
12.2 Qualifications and Experience
Form IV Certificate with valid Driving License Class C or E, Basic Driving Course and at least one (1) year driving experience without causing accidents.

12.3 Salary Scale

GENERAL CONDITIONS
