JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Director of Mbulu Town Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for ten (10) job vacancies in this Council, after obtaining permission from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, for the following positions:

1.0 DRIVER GRADE II - 06 POSTS

1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition,

ii. To transport staff to various locations on official trips,

iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs,

iv. To maintain and record a "log book" for all trips,

v. To collect and deliver various documents,

vi. To clean the vehicle,

vii. To perform any other duties as assigned by his/her Supervisor.

1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed, one must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license, with at least one year of driving experience without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the respective license classes. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA College or another Government-recognized institution.

2.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II - 04 POSTS

2.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. To type letters, reports, and routine and confidential documents,

ii. To receive guests and inquire about their issues, and direct them to the appropriate sections for assistance,

iii. To maintain records of events, meetings, guests, meeting dates, trips of the Supervisor, and schedules of other tasks,

iv. To search for files and documents needed for the execution of work duties,

v. To receive files and distribute them to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section,

vi. To collect, maintain, and return files and documents to the relevant sections,

vii. To arrange extracts and make preparations for various meetings,

viii. To prepare a list of requirements for office equipment.

3.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed, one must have a Form IV or Form VI education with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or an NTA level 6 certificate in Secretarial Studies. Furthermore, they must have passed a Shorthand subject in Kiswahili and English at 100 words per minute and obtained Office Computer programs such as; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher from any institution recognized by the Government.

3.1.3 SALARY LEVEL

GENERAL CONDITIONS

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.

ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify in the job application system the Disability they have for information to the Secretary of Employment in the Public Service.

iii. Applicants must attach a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (C.V) with a reliable address, accessible telephone numbers, and an email address together with the names of three reliable referees.

iv. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Academic and Professional Certificates by a Magistrate/Lawyer which are Form Four or Form Six certificates for those who reached that level and certificates of completion of various trainings according to the requirements of the specific job.

Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificate – Form Four and Form Six Certificates, Computer Certificate, Professional Certificates (from respective Boards).

v. Candidates who submit Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, Form IV and Form VI results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED WITH THE INTERVIEW.

vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their Certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET).

vii. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.

viii. Applicants for the Driver Grade II position with a Class E or C license must ATTACH training certificates for Driving which qualified them to obtain the respective license classes.

ix. Applicants who are already employed in intern positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to adhere to the instructions contained in Circular Letter No. CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.

x. Applicants who submit false information and qualifications will face legal actions.

xi. Candidates whose names differ in their documents must submit a Sworn Affidavit for Change of Name (Deed Poll) registered by the Ministry of Lands.

xii. The deadline for submitting applications is November 30, 2025.
