JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Executive Director of Ngara District Council invites qualified and interested Tanzanians to apply for the ten (10) job vacancies listed below to work in this Council, after receiving permission from the Chief Secretary, President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as per the following breakdown;

1.0.DRIVER GRADE II - 04 POSITIONS

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine the vehicle's safety condition.

ii. To transport staff to various locations on official trips.

iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs,

iv. To collect and distribute various documents.

v. To fill out and maintain records of all trips in the log book,

vi. To clean the vehicle; and

vii. To perform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor.

1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed, the applicant must have a Form Four (Form Four) certificate and a Class C and E driving license for which they have worked for at least one year without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the respective classes. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by a Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) College or another Government-recognized College.

2.0. OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 06 POSITIONS

2.1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Typing letters, reports, and routine and confidential documents,

ii. Receiving guests, presenting their problems, and directing them to where they can be assisted;

iii. Searching for files and documents required in the performance of work duties;

iv. Receiving files and distributing them to officers in the Divisions, Units, and relevant Sections;

v. Collecting, storing, and returning files and documents to the relevant sections;

vi. Arranging extracts and making preparations for various meetings; and

vii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements.

2.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed, the applicant must have Form Four (Form IV) or Form Six (Form VI) education and have a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or an NTA Level 6 Certificate in Secretarial Studies. Furthermore, they must have passed a Shorthand subject in Kiswahili and English at 100 words per minute and acquired office computer programs such as:- Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher from any Government-recognized College.

2.1.2 SALARY LEVEL.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS:

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.

ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify their disability in the Job Application System for information to the Secretariat of Employment in the Public Service.

iii. All applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae with a functional address, accessible phone numbers, and an Email Address (E-mail address) along with the names of three reliable referees.

iv. Applicants who are already Public Servants and have acquired qualifications to enter a different cadre than their current one, must submit their job application letters through their current employers, and their employers must approve accordingly.

v. Applicants must attach a detailed personal description (Detail C.V) with a reliable address and phone numbers along with the names of three reliable referees;

vi. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Academic and Professional Certificates by an Advocate/Lawyer. These include Form Four or Form Six certificates for those who reached that level and various training completion certificates considering the job qualifications.

vii. “Testimonial”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, Form Four and Form Six Results Slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

viii. Applicants who studied outside the country must ensure their certificates have been verified and validated by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).

ix. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.

x. Job applicants who are already employed in intern positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to adhere to the instructions in Letter No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.

xi. Submission of false information and qualifications will lead to legal action against the concerned individuals.

xii. The deadline for submitting job applications is 16 December, 2025.
